Copper Thieves Steal Again from Hawaiian Telcom

Posted April 25th, 2014 @ 5:32pm

Copper thieves have stolen from Hawaiian Telcom -- again. They apparently stole 300 feet of copper wire from Kalaeloa near the now closed Barbers Point Naval Air Station. The thieves are accused of sawing off two aerial cables on Franklin D. Roosevelt Avenue. It potentially caused disruption for up to 200 Hawaiian Telcom customers. This is the second time this month and the seventh time in just two years that copper wire was stolen from Hawaiian Telcom.
