Posted July 21st, 2014 @ 1:51pm

He was the executive director of an organization that encourages people to adopt foster children.  Thirty-eight-year-old Louis Martinez was charged earlier this month with first-degree attempted sexual assault involving a girl who was 11 at the time. The assault allegedly happened in 2011. In May 2013, he was charged with two felony sexual assaults, one attempted felony sex assault and two misdemeanor sexual assaults involving a 16-year-old girl. He has pleaded not guilty to all counts. He'll go on trial in September and remains at Oahu Community Correctional Center, unable to post $400,000. In 2005, Martinez, also known as David Barber and David Louis, opened Heart Gallery Hawaii, the local chapter of Heart Gallery of America, an organization that encourages people to adopt foster children by taking photos of the children and displaying them publicly. Heart Gallery Hawaii is no longer in operation.
