The 32-year-old fugitive who crashed the car he was driving in Kahala, tried to run and then fired at police officers Thursday night, remains hospitalized.  He was injured in the car crash.  KHON2 is reporting the suspect had an AK-47 in the car and he was wearing a bulletproof vest. He also had a wig.  Police were following the suspect to take him into custody on a $100,000 retake warrant.  He had violated conditions of his parole.  He has 22 prior convictions, 13 of those felonies. He was arrested on three counts of first-degree attempted murder, numerous firearms violations and failure to render aid.  Charges are pending.
