A homeless man who allegedly tried to suffocate a 65-year-old Kailua woman while she was sleeping, has been indicted by an Oahu grand jury. 55-year-old Darryl Thomas will be arraigned in Circuit Court on charges of second-degree attempted murder, first degree burglary and second-degree terroristic threatening after he is served with a bench warrant. He is being held at Oahu Community Correctional Center unable to post $1 million bail. Police say Thomas broke into the woman's home and tried to gag her with a cloth. Police found him hiding in vegetation on the woman's property.
