A life in prison sentence for a former marine will stand. The U.S. Marine Corps has confirmed the life sentence for Nathaniel Cosby in the murder of Ivanice "Ivy" Harris. He admitted killing Harris, a prostitute, in his Waikiki hotel room May 16, but he maintained it was in self defense. The 39-year-old Cosby was court-martialed, convicted, and sentenced to life with the possibility of parole and dishonorably discharged from the Marine Corps on April 26 for murder and obstruction of justice. The case was reviewed and the sentence approved by U.S. Marine Corps Pacific Commander Lieutenant General Terry Robling on August 14th.
