Police aren't sure if speed, alcohol or drugs played a role in a fatal motorcycle crash early Tuesday morning. They say a man in his 20s with a Honolulu address was traveling westbound on Ala Moana Boulevard when he lost control of his Yamaha motorcycle at 2:20 a.m. and struck the median curb, then a sign pole, then landed in some plants. The man was wearing a helmet. Paramedics say he died at the scene. Two left lanes of Ala Moana Boulevard were closed in the area while police investigated.
