Police Seek Help Identifying Credit Card Fraud Suspects

Posted May 13th, 2014 @ 2:33pm

Police are asking help identifying two women who stole credit card numbers and then made purchases at various retail stores with fake credit cards. The magnetic strip on the cards they use don't work, so they ask the clerks to punch in the numbers manually. The charges go to some poor unsuspecting consumer who may be unaware that their credit card number has been stolen. Police ask you to check all your credit card purchases to make sure they were all made by you. And, if you know these women, please call HPD's criminal investigation division at 723-3609, or call anonymously at 955-8300.
