Three Rescued Boaters Thankful to be Alive

Posted August 12th, 2014 @ 3:03pm

Three sailors who were rescued by the crew of a container ship during Hurricane Julio, arrived in Honolulu Harbor early Tuesday. The three left Long Beach, California three weeks ago and planned to stop in Maui on their way to Asia. But their 42-foot sailboat "Walkabout" was severely damaged by Julio. They thanked the crew of the Matson vessel Manukai for rescuing them yesterday.
