Man Found Dead After Wife Searched "How To Kill Someone And Not Get Caught"

A Texas woman was arrested in connection with the death of her husband after authorities saw her browser history. According to the Star-Telegram, police say that 55-year-old Sandra Louise Garner searched for "how to kill someone and not get caught" on a device they confiscated from her home.

Police say that on January 2nd, Garner called 911 to report that she "was awakened by two gunshots and saw a masked male holding a gun and flashlight inside of her residence." She says the man said he was not there to hurt her, and that he forced her to give him "approximately $18,000" from their safe.

But, police say her story did not hold up to scrutiny. Along with the electronic device, which was used to search for information on getting away with murder, they also found ballistics evidence that tied a gun found in her car to the one used to shot her husband.

Authorities say the gun was not present in the Ford Mustang when they first searched the home, but the gun was found wrapped in a paper towel inside two plastic bags on a subsequent search.

Once police matched the bullets used to kill her husband with the gun found in her car, police arrested Garner. She has been charged with murder and remains in jail on a $2 million bond.
