As Hurricane Lane downgrades to a Tropical Storm, the threat of mudslides, flash flooding and high winds is still a factor for many residents. Many businesses have closed shop through the weekend, grocery store shelves are empty and many residents protecting themselves against the threat of flooding. 

As Hawaii waits for the storm to pass, heavy rainfall continues throughout the islands with over 30 inches of rain. The photos above show how residents and tourists alike are dealing with the heavy storm.
