A 21-year-old man remains in police custody, with second-degree attempted murder charges pending, in connection with an attack in Waianae Wednesday. Police say that at about 2 p.m. the suspect approached a 44-year-old man near a hardware store on Farrington Highway and used a dangerous instrument to cut him. The victim was taken in serious, but stable condition to a trauma center with cuts to his elbow, rib cage and back. The suspect was arrested on suspicion of attempted second-degree murder.
