Minimum Wage Bill Approved by Committee

Posted April 26th, 2014 @ 12:07pm

State House and Senate negotiators agreed Friday to increase the minimum wage to $10.10 an hour over the next four years. The state's current minimum wage is $7.25 an hour and has remained at that level since 2007. The bill also expands a tip credit to 75 cents, but businesses would not be able to deduct the tip credit unless workers earn at least $7 an hour above the minimum wage.
