An Indiana teen who was piloting a Hawker Beechcraft plane in an attempt to set a record for an around-the-world flight, has crashed in the Pacific. Family spokeswoman Annie Hayat said the plane flown by 17-year-old Haris Suleman went down shortly after leaving Pango Pango in American Samoa. Suleman and his father Babar Suleman, were on board. Haris Suleman's body was recovered, but crews continue to look for his father. Their website said they planned to stopover on Christmas Island and reach Hawaii today. The Federal Aviation Administration confirms the plane crashed into the ocean last night under unknown circumstances. They left Indiana June 19th hoping to break the record and raise money for a nonprofit that builds schools in Pakistan.
